Qatar will host a major international exhibition focused on robotics and artificial intelligence technologies in October 2026, as the Gulf nation seeks to position itself as a regional hub for digital innovation and technology partnerships.

The Qatar Chamber announced its official sponsorship of ROBOTECH 26, the International Exhibition on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Technologies, scheduled for October 27-29, 2026 in Doha. The three-day event will occupy 15,000 square meters and is expected to attract leading companies across multiple sectors.

Digital Competitiveness

Speaking at a press conference Tuesday, Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari, Qatar Chamber’s first vice-chairman, emphasized the country’s progress in digital transformation, noting that Qatar has been ranked among the top 20 countries globally in the 2025 Digital Competitiveness Index issued by the International Institute for Management Development.

“The country is witnessing rapid development in the information technology sector,” al-Kuwari said, attributing this progress to Qatar’s commitment to building a competitive, knowledge-based economy under Qatar National Vision 2030.

The exhibition sponsorship aligns with Qatar Chamber’s strategic objectives and forms part of the activities of the Qatari Business Council following its recent restructuring. “The exhibition also contributes to strengthening the integrated partnership between the public and private sectors,” al-Kuwari added.

Business Engagement

The chamber plans to invite Qatari business owners and companies to participate in a conference accompanying the exhibition, featuring dialogue sessions and panel discussions. Organizers will also host seminars and workshops designed to connect Qatari business leaders with international counterparts to explore trade, investment cooperation, and strategic partnerships.

Ali Bu Sherbak al-Mansouri, Qatar Chamber’s acting general manager, described innovation and artificial intelligence as “engines of the economy” and characterized ROBOTECH 26 as “a valuable opportunity to conclude deals and partnerships between Qatari and international companies in these fields.”

Exhibition Scope

Haitham Shehab, general manager of Stallion, the organizing company, described ROBOTECH 26 as “the premier platform to discover cutting-edge technologies and catalyse public-private partnerships in this high-growth sector.”

Ling Li, exhibition manager, said the event aligns with Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030, which positions information technology and digital transformation as central to economic development. The exhibition is expected to draw companies specializing in AI and robotics applications across diverse sectors, including:

  • Healthcare
  • Smart transportation and logistics
  • Education
  • Cybersecurity
  • Food security
  • Financial technology
  • Industrial technologies
  • Smart cities
  • Environmental conservation

Market Growth Projections

Qatar Chamber cited global market trends underscoring the exhibition’s significance. According to the chamber, the artificial intelligence market was valued at $136.55 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach $826.73 billion by 2030. The robotics market is expected to reach $189.36 billion by 2027.

The announcement comes as Gulf nations increasingly compete to establish themselves as technology and innovation centers, with substantial government investments in digital infrastructure and smart city initiatives across the region.

ROBOTECH 26 represents Qatar’s latest effort to attract international technology companies and position Doha as a destination for technology partnerships and investment in the Middle East.
